eMAJA: Read the new digital Estonian architecture magazine
ESTONIA - eMAJA, a specially designed version of the Estonian architecture review MAJA, can now be read on your tablet. MAJA is the only regularly published architecture magazine in Estonia covering contemporary architecture, interior design and design. In answer to the wave of digitalization and networking that has seized the media world, eMAJA is an electronic magazine designed specifically for tablets (both iPad and Android), and it is one of the first architecture magazine apps available. eMAJA brings a new dimension in architecture-related writing and publishing, using the potential offered by multimedia and animation techniques for coverage of projects and events.
The first issue features landscape urbanism, architecture as an event and social networking experience, and the architect’s possibilities for life-long resistance as its key themes. Architects Eva Castro, François Roche and Pedro Gadanho, among others, give their insight into the discussion. Also included is a critical review of the World Architecture Festival (WAF): Why should small countries and small practices participate in the World Architecture Festival? And what is it like to start an architecture biennale from scratch (for instance, in the case of Tallinn)?
Download the eMAJA app and read the first electronic issue free of charge!
