BELGRADE (RS) - Not long ago, the third Coffeedream bar opened its doors in Belgrade. All three were designed by young architectural talent Milos Mirosavic who, together with Ivana Popovic, forms im.architektur.

Coffeedream is one of a number of local coffee bar chains that have popped up in Belgrade in recent years, and which can be regarded as promising 'guide fossils' for the new era that has dawned in this city. The three Coffeedream bars, strategically dispersed around the centre of the Serbian capital, are distinguished from their competitors by the refined simplicity with which atmosphere and coherence have been created using limited means.

Recurring elements in all three bars are the cream-coloured leather banquettes, a colour that is repeated in the ton-sur-ton wallpaper with its motif of branches and leaves. The main spatial strategy in all three coffee bars is the positioning of a large mirror wall at the rear of the premises, a very effective way of deriving maximum return from minimal dimensions.
